Air Raid Shelters.
In willow class this week we have been learning about the Anderson shelter and the Morrison shelters. Air raid shelters kept people safe during World War II from the bombs. This week we made one of the shelters base to see how big the shelter area was. We had a choice of which base we were going to make. In my group I had Dan, Laura and Bryce. We made an Anderson shelter base. It was fun but hard because we had to find all of the measurements. We finally did it, glued and cut everything. Then we saw how many people could fit in the area. They said it was not very comfy! 4 people got into special assembly for their hard work.
