The Aztecs This week in Willow class we are learning about the Aztecs. We copied some Aztecs pictures out of books for our book covers. Also Mr Marriott read us a story about the Aztecs and when they arrived in the valley of Mexico and how they got settled near lake Texcoco. Then the city of Tenochtitlan was founded, including the first Aztec temple. Canals and causeways were built in the city and then Tenochtitlan was destroyed by floods. The Great Temple at Tenochtitlan was built and then Moctezuma 2 became ruler.
