Visions and values

Imagine, aspire, achieve; discover the world.

At John Blow Primary School we share a vision for a learning community, where children can enjoy their childhood experiences.  Children and adults alike are valued for their individuality, talents, culture and heritage.  Everyone is encouraged to develop their full potential in a stimulating, challenging and caring environment.

Aims : We the staff, parents and governors aim to encourage each and every child in all aspects of learning by:

  • Working together as a team

  • Striving for the best

  • Providing a balanced and interesting curriculum

  • Demonstrating respect for our community and the natural environment in which we live and learn

  • Catering for all abilities

  • Promoting curiosity and enthusiasm

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Promoting logical and creative thinking

  • Nurturing and encouraging respect for others and personal self-esteem

Each child is unique and we as teachers have the privilege and responsibility of contributing to the development of each human being and to their full potential.   As a “doing” school we regard educating children in the 21st century as a positive challenge and work together to achieve this.  We as staff and governors recognise and accept this responsibility and share a vision which is strong, yet flexible enough to comprehend the infinite variety its children bring.
